Just as promised, I have a new winter map for all of you. When I first started to sketch out the map I was just going to have the frozen part with some vegetation around it; And while I think that could still make for an interesting future battle map, for this one I went with something a little different.

Although the map retains the essence of having a frozen lake where you can make your players fall through and suffer severe hypothermia (after rolling horribly and repeatedly failing to rescue the not particularly athletic wizard ), I drew some elevated terrain and got rid of most of the vegetation too.
I reckon the addition of the 3-level elevation can provide a more interesting encounter and some clever enemy (or player) positioning.
The lack of vegetation makes the map fairly wide open so making good use of what little cover there’s available will provide a nice advantage in battle.
Last but not least, the frozen water makes for plenty of fun battle scenarios. Sliding, falling through or huge monsters coming from below are some of the ideas you can use with this map!
