A long time ago, there was a young commander who bravely fought against a powerful enemy of the Kingdom. Along with their faithful soldiers, the commander vanquished the enemy, but not before a curse was cast upon them by an evil wizard of the invading army.

Soon after their victory, the whole battalion fell ill and passed away. They were buried together, and a monument was built in their honor.
But every year around All Hallows’ Eve, the commander and their army rises once more. With pumpkins basked in ethereal fire for heads, they terrorize the nearby towns and villages. Nothing seems to be able to banish the curse, and so the folks endure the terror year after year, hiding as best they can.
The heroes, in one of their journeys, learn about this legend. Willing to get rid of the curse, if it’s real at all, they set to watch the graves of the fallen soldiers, and try to devise a way to cleanse the souls of the former heroes’ souls.
